Thomas Williams

Thomas Anthony Williams, 76, of Birch River passed away at his home surrounded by his two daughters, Tammy and Tara Williams.  He was born June 23, 1942 in Aiken, SC. Thomas is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary D. Williams.

Thomas was a one of a kind.  He truly loved his wife and family.  He liked his animals, weightlifting, watching westerns, raising his chickens, horses, and pigs and was a master gardener; at one point even built his own irrigation system. He loved the poet and philosopher Henry David Thoreau, especially his book Walden Pond and could even quote every word.  He also loved listening to Hank Williams Jr and Dolly Parton.

Survivors include his brother, his four other children and also six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 5:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Kyle Rader officiating.  Friends may join the family for visiting two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
