Rosa Bell Meadows, 89 of Craigsville passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 7, 1924 in Dille (Clay County) to Dave and Tisha Mullens King. She lived the majority of her life in Webster and Nicholas County and attended Beaver Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in the garden and planting green onions all over the place. She loved to sing in church, plant flowers, and visit with people.
Rosa is survived by her sons Charles (wife Crystal) Meadows, Otis (wife Bertha) Meadows, Delbert (wife Bonnie) Meadows, and Jerry "Ricky" Meadows; daughters Betty (husband George) Butcher, Terry (husband Jackie) Lewis, Freda Goff, Teresa (husband Danny) Russell, and Della Clay; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many extended church family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Alva Meadows; daughters Sadie Meadows and Clarie Meadows; and all her brothers and sisters.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Adams-Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Rosa's life will be held at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Oscar Spinks and Rev. Burnell Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Fleming Cemetery, Cottle.
