Nina Hazel Christian, 94 of Craigsville and formly of Cowen, passed away on Saturday August 18, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on July 22, 1918 to the late George D. Wamsley SR. and Mary Sylvia Coleman Wamsley. She lived the last 7 years in Craigsville and attended the Church Of Christ.
She is survived by her son; Thurman "Rimfire" Glenna Christain of Cowen and son-in-law George Phetterplace of Cowen, daughters; Alice Adams of Eubank, KY., Mary Ison of Vandalia, OH., Lela Bolser of Craigsville, and daughter-in-law Naomi Christian of Cowen, sisters; Nova Rose of Tornado, WV. and Barbara Detloff of Racine, OH. 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman Christian, sons; Henry and George Christian, daughters; Mayme Dutton, Debbie Phetterplace and daughter-in-law Tessie Christian, sons-in-law, Ray Adams, Buster Dutton,Ed Bolser and Gary Ison and 2 granddaughters Arpil Dawn And Rhonda Christian, and by her brothers; Doyle Wamsley Sr. Eugene"Gene" Wamsley, George Wamsley Jr. Joseph Wamsley and Johnny Wamsley.
Service will be held on Wednesday August 22 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home with the Minister L.H."Sam" Gwinn, Minister Mark Coffman and minister Greg Ison officiating. Friends may will be received from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday August 21, 2012. Burial will be in the Odd Fellow Cemetery Cowen.
