Margaret Louise Harris, 96 of Cowen passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. Margaret was born April 17, 1928 in Richmond, VA and was the daughter of the late George and Mary Perkins Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Harris, Sr and her son, Arthur J. Harris, Jr.
Margaret was a strong prayer warrior; she was a member and served as a Sunday School teacher at Love & Life Fellowship Church, Williams River. She enjoyed fishing, mowing her yard, planting flowers in her flower beds, listening to gospel music, going to yard sales, long drives on the Scenic Highway with a roadside picnic and spending time with her furry companion kitty, Mandy.
Surviving are her caregivers, Kathy Dillion and Laura Armentrout; nieces, Peggy Richie and Alice Martin; two grandchildren, Aaron Harris and his wife Alice and Crystal Draper and her husband Greg and Carlene April; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; close friends, Felisha Barton, Nancy Robert, Retha Russell and Jenny Riffle and also her church family at Love & Life Fellowship.
Margaret’s Going Home Celebration will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Love & Life Fellowship 328 Williams River Rd, with PCG Bishop Gregory Hatfield and US Navy Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Friends may join for visitation 11 AM until service time at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at Handschumacher Cemetery, Upperglade.
