Lelia Careway

Lelia Mae Careway, 81 of Cowen went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Summersville Memorial Hospital. She was born May 21, 1931 in Marlinton to Henry Tilman and Emma Alice Sharp Price and was a member of housekeeping for Sacred Heart Hospital in Richwood. She attended Love of Life Fellowship Church where she loved her church fellowship. She enjoyed her ministry of music throughout her church community and helped lead many souls to the Lord. She also enjoyed her quiet time with the Lord while quilting and gardening.
Lelia is survived by her sons Robert (Katherine) Beverage of Linthicum, MD, and Charles J. Careway and Ronald Careway both of Cowen; daughters Jeanie Beverage Ashley of Richwood, Peggy Rumbach of Canvas, and Lisa Careway McManamay of Beckley; sister Veta Pearl Price of Toledo, OH; and grandchildren Jay Banker, Shawn Jones, Monica Jones, Nathan Rumbach, Charles Rumbach, Lauren McManamay and John McManamay. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Cabel Careway, and daughter Carol Beverage Jones.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Love of Life Fellowship Church, Williams River Road, Cowen. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Church with Rev. Carmel Sanson officiating. Interment will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.
