Lakie Melvin Lane, 61, of Cowen passed away on Thursday , November 21,2013 at Charleston Area Medical Center General aftrer an extened illness.
He was born December 6, 1951 in Clay County, to Carl and Delcie White Lane. He was disabled truck driver for Hanney bros. trucking. He was a Baptist faith. He was lifelong resident of Webster County he will be missed by his family and all that knew him.
Lakie is survived by his loving wife; Barbara D. Riffle Lane of Cowen, sons; Carl ( Jodie ) Lane of Cowen, and Larry Lane of Cowen, daughters; Tiny ( Ray ) Hiner of Braxton, Delcinia Spinks of Birch River, and Shanna ( Joshua ) Bragg of Ohio, sisters; Charlotte ( Kenny) Selman of GA., Juanita ( Llodye ) Harman of Webster Springs, Loretta ( Rocky ) Echard of Cowen, Alma Lane of Bolair and Zetta Young of Cowen ,Thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Delcie White Lane, brother; Larry W. Lane, son-in-law; Ricky Spinks
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, November 24 at 3:30 p.m. at the Justus- Riffle family cemetery with Pastor Rob Ely officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Adams-Reed Funeral Home
