Janie Wright

Janie E. Wright, 95 of Cowen passed away November 18, 2024. Janie was born April 15, 1929 in Tea Creek, WV and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ruby Savage Bennett.

Janie was a retired Webster County school cook and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Glade View Community Church. 

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert “Bus” Wright; daughters, Terea “Terri” Robb and Karen Sue Wright; grandchildren, Stacie Williams and Wes Wayne; brothers, Victor, Keith, Paul, Junior, Billy and a sister Charolette.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy (Richard) Wayne of Upper Glade and a son, Michael (Tonia) Wright of Jodie, foster son, Steve (Lucy) Myers of Cowen; brother, Fred Bennett of Locus Grove, VA and a sister Phyllis Morrison of Port Clinton, OH; 6 grandchildren, 3 foster grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, son in law, Rick Robb; Janie considered all of the members of her church as family. 

Service will be 12 Noon, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Craig Williams officiating. Private burial will follow at WV Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends may join the family for visitation 11 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
