Rev. James Everett Armentrout, 70 of Upperglade went home to meet his Lord and Savior on February 3, 2012 at CAMC General Division in Charleston. He was born November 15, 1941 in Webster Springs to Everett and Mary Barker Armentrout. He lived his life in the area and was Pentecostal by Faith. He was a former coal miner and presently pastored Holy City Church in Swiss, WV. He also hosted the radio ministry "Holy City" and had a prison ministry as well.
James is survived by his sons Glen (Audrey) Armentrout, Jim Armentrout, Rick Armentrout, and Phil Armentrout; mother Mary Lucille Armentrout; brothers Odie (Annabelle) Armentrout and Steve Armentrout; sisters Dorothy, Vivian, and Rose; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and wife Wanda Short Armentrout.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Adams-Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Young officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Cochran Cemetery.
