Homer Francis Starcher, 66 of Cranberry Ridge, Camden-on-Gauley, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV. He was born May 17, 1946 in Half Acre, Camden-on-Gauley to Shirley and Cornelia Rose Starcher and lived the majority of his life in Webster County and spent five years in Ohio. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam, a retired coal miner, and enjoyed fishing, boating, and digging ramps.
Homer is survived by his wife Judith Darlene Spinks Starcher; son William (Shannon) Starcher of Camden-on-Gauley; daughters Kelly (William0 Williams of Camden-on-Gauley, Tammy Clendenin of Cowen, Tabitha (David) Thomas of Craigsville, and Christy Starcher of Craigsville; brother William "Gene" (Patty) Starcher of Moses Lake, WA; sister June (Lester) Curry of Tioga; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ken "Shorty" Starcher.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with Funeral Services at 1:00 PM at Adams-Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Alex Williams Cemetery, Camden-on-Gauley.
