Helen Edith O'Dell, 92 of Summersville, WV, formerly of Webster and Kanawha County, departed this life on Friday, June 6, 2014, in Summersville Regional Medical Center, Summersville, WV. She was born in Cabin Creek, Kanawha County, WV on Feb. 10, 1922, daughter of the late Tom and Amy May Drennen. She was a homemaker and had lived in Nicholas County for over thirty years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John O'Dell, sons: Johnny R. and Pat, daughters: Carolyn & Cheryl and grandchild: Kenney Wilt.
Left to cherish her memory are, sons: Bruce (Pat) O'Dell of Earlville, IL, Kenney O'Dell and Jim O'Dell of Plainfield, IL, and Larry (Arbustus) O'Dell of Teays Valley, WV, daughters: Jean Wilt of Craigsville, WV, Brenda (Alfred) Adamy of Upperglade, WV, Linda (Alden) Short and Marsha (Darrell) Short of Camden on Gauley, WV, Melanie (Tim) Wyatt of Summersville, WV, Vicki (Frank) McCourt of Cowen, WV, and Karen (Jim) Trivolette of Richwood, WV, 31 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Adams-Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Dudley officiating. Burial will be in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
