Grace Barger

Grace Ann Barger, 75, of Cowen, WV. lost her courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease and congestive heart failure  Thursday May 24,2012 in Sutton, WV. at the home of her Daughter and son-in-law.

Grace Ann was born in Centralia, WV. on September 17, 1937 to the late William Burton and Mona Robinson Clutter, She was member and elder of the Upperglade Presbyterian Church, Webster County High nSchool Consolidation planning committee, and Cowen Garden Club. Thought the years Grace Ann and husband Jim welcomed many strangers into their home and lives through business and Webster County work camps, making every lasting friendship.

Grace Ann will be forever remembered for her unconditional love for others, love for God and her family, kindness, quick wit, loving smile, and Mickey Mouse pancakes.

She is survived by; Son, James "Ed" (Norma) Barger of Cowen,WV. daughter, Lauren (Steve) Smith of Sutton, WV. Grandchildren; Nathaniel (Stacy) Lynch of Sutton,WV. Courtney (Evan) Moore of Stafford, VA. Jaclyn Barger Buckholder of Richwood, WV. Jennings Wayne Barger of Cowen, WV. Amy Jones of Elkins, WV. Erin Smith of Alexandria, VA. great-grandchildren; Gaven,Orrin,Elijah,Haylie, Ian, Logan, James. Jackson, Carlie, Chloe, and Kinley and Liam Reese on the way, sister; Sue (Dave) Young of Bolair, WV., brothers; Kenneth Clutter of Elkton, Maryland, Clarence Clutter (Marty) Clutter of Buckhannon, WV. John (June) Clutter of Webster Springs, WV., Jim (Linda) Clutter of Ireland, WV. David Clutter of Webster Springs, WV. Bruce (Hilda) Clutter of Clarksburg, WV. sister-in-laws; Martha Clutterof Glenville,WV. Imagene Green of Buckhannon, WV. Diane Barger of California and brother-in-law Philip Barger of California, neices and nephews; Sam,Dave,Toni,Paul,Mike,Emily,Andrea,Cindy V, Cindy B, Stephaine, Richard, Bob,Stephen,Doug,Wally,Bruce Allen, Ronnie M, Andy, Mona, Molley, Mitchell, Larry, Tim and Chris.

In addition to our heavenly Father, those the to greet Grace Ann with open arms and celebration are; husband James R. Visitation and celebration of Grace's life will be 5-8 P.M. Sunday May 27, 2012 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen, WV. Funeral service will be held May 28, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Upperglade Presbyterian Church, Upperglade, WV. the the Rev's Robert and Beth Bonderant officiating . Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen, WV.
