Gerald Hollandsworth

Gerald Waitman Hollandsworth, 83 of Camden on Gauley, WV passed away on August 30, 2011 at his residence.  He was born June 25, 1928 in Boggs, WV to Charles E. and Ella J. Roberts Hollandsworth and was a retired coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company.  He was a life long resident of Webster County and attended Little Glade Baptist Church.  He was a member of the UMWA, enjoyed his church and 4-wheeling.

Mr. Hollandsworth is survived by his wife Emma O'Brien Hollandsworth; son Kenneth (Freda) Hollandsworth of Cowen; daughter Connie (Rick) Green of Cowen; step-daughter Sandy (Sam) Riffle of Fayetteville; sister Lorraine Hawkins of Cowen; grandchildren Freda Carpenter, Kenny Green, Kathryn and Travis Giles, and Karen and Mike Smith; great-grandchildren Allissa Carpenter, Katie Giles, Kendall Giles, and Micah Smith; step-grandchildren Megan and Casey Massie, Noah Riffle, and Landon Massie.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Helen Sanson, Mazie Sizemore, Vertie Frazer, and Myrtle Rose; and brothers Rexall and Austin Hollandsworth.

Friends may join the family on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Little Glade Baptist Church.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Church with Rev. Keith Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.  Family Services provided by Adams-Reed Funeral Home.
