Erma Giles

Erma Glendeline Mullens Giles, 83 of Cowen, went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2011, at her daughter's home.  She was born May 22, 1928, in Webster County, daughter of the late Christopher & Velva Carpenter Mullens.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years:  Frank Giles, granddaughter:  Cindy Giles, grandson:  Johnny Williams,  brother:  Golden Mullens and half brother:  Eugene Mullens.

She was a Methodist by faith and attended Halo Methodist Church.

She is survived by sons:  Clyde Leo (Melody) Giles of Wakeman, OH, William Nicholas (Amy) Giles of Summersville, WV, Paul Calvin Giles, Earnest Ray (Debbie) Giles, and Jeffery Craig (Jennifer) Giles all of Cowen, WV, daughters:  Hazel Louise (Jubert) Williams and Retha Virginia (Jim) Morrison both of Cowen.  Grandchildren:  Tracy (Thor) Baker, Tammy (Rickie) Crislip, Ginger (Ronnie) Short, Angie Williams, Amy Williams, Joy Williams, Michael (Paula) Morrison, Michele (Andy) Tabol, Mitchel Morrison, Mickey (Ronnie) White, Roseanna Giles, Christal (Elmer) Payne, Wayne (Morgan) Giles, Luticia Giles, Brandon Giles, D. J. and Brooke Lewis, great grandchildren:  Allison & Ashley Baker, Jacob Crislip, Curtis, John & Bradley Short, Holley and Kerstin Morrison, Lailian and Malachi Giles, Bryan Hamrick, Gabrial and Karissa Giles and a very good friend:  Sue Roberts.

Services will be held at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen, 1 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2011, with Rev. Keith Williams and Rev. Oz Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in Handschumacher Cemetery, Upperglade, WV.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
