Elsie Ann Isabell ,89 years of age, from Paynesville Rd in Webster County passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Oak Hill Assisted Living, Oak Hill, WV. She is with the Lord in heaven at a big reunion of all her family she has missed for years. She was born March 12, 1935 in Knoxville, TN and was the daughter of the late Virley “Skinny” and Alma Harmon Isabell. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil “Joe”, Ralph and Frank Isabell and sisters, Mary Sears, Bonnie Kelley and Alma ”Toots” Bucchi.
Elsie was a home economics teacher at Webster County High School. She was a great cook, quilter and crafter. She retired after many years to care for her father and mother until they passed. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt to many nieces’ nephews and friends. Elsie was a wonderful woman; her passing has left a void in the hearts of who knew her and she will truly be missed especially by her niece Marsha.
Surviving is her brother, John Isabell; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She leaves behind cherished memories all who knew her and anyone she met. Those who were fortunate enough to know Elsie Ann Isabell will remember her as a great woman and great cook. She is resting peacefully among the angels.
Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Eddie Green officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
