David Edward Stewart 73, of Cowen, WV, died suddenly at his home on April 14, 2011. He was born in Rock House, WV, son of the late Carl Robert Stewart and Clerendia G. Prater Stewart. He was a retired coal miner, a Baptist by faith and had lived in Webster County all his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Stewart.
David is survived by his wife: Myrtle M. Stewart of Cowen, WV, son: James Edward Stewart of Webster Springs, WV, brothers: Harold Stewart of Ohio, and Wilbur Stewart of New York, sisters: Genevia Hufbaker of Wooster, OH, and Darlene Roberts of Ohio, granddaughters: Cythia Hamrick and Kimberly Stewart , and great grandchildren: Michael James and Braden Edward Hamrick.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2011, at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen, WV with Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen, WV. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, April 17, at the funeral home.
