Cleo Cottrill Casteel, 79, of Cowen, Formerly of Kingwood, went home to be with the Lord and Beloved son on Monday, June 25, 2012, at CAMC General Division, Charleston. Cleo watched the world go by from her favorite perch on her front porch, and never failed to greet passersby with a wave and a smile. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shw was born in Calhoun County on November 26, 1932, to the late Walter and Jenny Cottrill. She attended Halo Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cleo is survived by her sons; Glenn Temple of Gauley Mills, Randy Temple of Cowen and Mark (Terry) Casteel of Cowen; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Temple of Cowen; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, Sus (Bob) Cooper and Lisa Johnson; and nephew Dusty (Donna Lee) Cottrill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jenny Cottrill; her loving husband, George Casteel; infant daughter Jane Casteel; son Robert Casteel; two brothers Richard and Robert Cottrill; two sisters, Josephine Pyles and Pansy Johnson; two brothers-in-law Otis Pyles and Howard Johnson and daughter-in-law Tammy Temple. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Bethal Church, Newburg, with the Rev. Regina Spring officiating. Burial will be in Bethal Cemetery, Newburg. Freinds will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen. Adams-Reed Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
