Charles Bennett, Sr

Charles Robert Bennett Sr., 69 of Richwood passed away at his home Wedneaday, November 3, 2021.  Charlie was born June 5, 1952 in Dorchester. MD and was the son of the late Robert and Cathaleen Proper Bennett.  Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Allen and three brothers.

Charlie was a United States Army veteran and served in the 189th Military Police unit.  He was an over the road truck driver for 44 years.  He enjoyed NASCAR,  spending time with his family and friends,  loved his cats, and enjoyed his trips to the Grand Ole Opry trips with Patty.

Surviving are his wife, Patty Barnett Bennett, son, Kyle Bennett of Maryland, a daughter, Angela Allen of Florida, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many cousins, friends , truck driving buddies and extended family members.

Service will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Ben Stone officiating.  Burial will follow at Barnett Memorial Cemetery, Bug Ridge.

Friends may join the family for visitation 5-8 PM Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the funeral home.
